I think these guys have really messed up by running Obama. I mean, I'm not crazy about McCain as a candidate (although, he an I are roughly in the same area politically). But there is every possibility McCain is going to win this in a landslide as the wheels continue to come off the Obama machine.

The man just doesn't have the experience to to occupy the Oval Office. That his proponents, like CJ on this thread, cannot come up with a single significant accomplishment, is striking, in fact, downright astonishing. He was, effectively, placed into the Senate by the party elders (keeping in mind that Carol Mosely also was hand-picked by the same group lol) in an effort to quickly qualify him as a legitimate candidate.

This is not unlike what they did with Clinton -- the big speech at the convention in '88 put Clinton on the national map, designated for a future presidential run. Of course, Clinton had actual qualifications IN ADDITION to being an excellent speaker (if long-winded).

McCain lacks the charisma, no doubt. But in the end, Americans are not stupid enough to put Obama in office, I don't think. Certainly, some of the polish has come off the Obama spin.
