The very fact that America exported itself is acting as a boomerang against it. The Americanization of the world is what is weakening it.

That's a good point. When the rest of the world had one hand tied behind its back by socialistic ideologies, it was easy for the US, the US companies, the US products to be most competitive and innovative. The playing field was tilted in our favor. Now the playing field is being leveled...

But ultimately I believe that's a good thing in the long term.
