Ted, Do you know what's the cause for its low efficiency? No, it is actual process of turning light energy into electrical energy that has low efficiency. Could it be the required conversion from DC to AC electricity? That too, to be able to connect to the grid (inside the house and outside) but that is a smaller part of the problem. Joe
