Yes, it DOES. (It does not mention 'naturalized'.)

And, then the laws of the United States of America *defined* what that clause in the Constitution meant.

The latest change to it's legal meaning was enacted into law about one year AFTER McCain's birth.

That is not the legal definition that was established by contemporaneous law.

(Just because two different words have a common root does NOT mean they have exactly the same meaning, despite your desire that that be so. LOL!)

If you can show me an American law (prior to McCain's birth, as laws passed after his birth cannot apply...) that establishes what you CLAIM the Constitution's clause to mean... or a High Court decision to the same effect, well that would be great.

But, in the absence of EITHER... all your speculations and meanderings about 'words that sound similar' really have no effect on what the law is (or was....)
