The more interesting thing is the Fed may need to arrange a shotgun marraige between Lehman and Goldman to keep Lehman from imploding. Goldman is the only one who could pull it off.

I have no idea what's going to happen with MER and MS. There is nobody left who could absorb them. They'll either need to be taken over by the Fed (highly unlikely) or there will need to be some resolution trust set up to handle these failures due to the CDS situation.

Goldman's longer term formation targets $80, but for now let's see how $140 and $120 are handled.
