Hi Jim. Great reply, in that I appreciate the critical means by which you approached each of Grove's points. With a little reconstruction it would be suitable for publishing as a counterpoint essay in the Atlantic itself. That said, you've made many assertions that I can only take under consideration but don't necessarily agree or disagree with, and this is mainly because I'm not as conversant in many (not all, but many) of the areas you covered, especially from an historical perspective, as I probably ought to be. But I do appreciate your taking the time and effort, and providing additional food for thought. Thanks for the reply. FAC
