Bush went to Washington thinking he could work with Democrats as he had in TX.

Bush jr. didn't work with democrats in Texas. The governor in Texas hasn't had any real power since Reconstruction. Bush jr. did start up his Rove powered P.R. machine to construct the myths that people like you swallowed hook, line, and sinker.
