I saw the numbers this morning. Inflation is over 3%. Sure gas and food are up 10% but thats just one part. And even if it gets a larger percentage of the average guys cash than 3% indicates, what it does is restrict purchases of items other than necessities, thus forcing prices down. I am not sure deflation wont be bigger problem than inflation as demand destruction occurs. Also there is little or no wage inflation so inflation is almost unsustainable. The talk of higher interst rates given the recession we are in is ludicrous.
