And I said that the government should only fund research, I stand by that. But it is a fact there is not much research left to be done for near term solutions. So no government involvement is now needed except for the longer term solutions. Is it really that complicated?

If gas goes to $3.50 and the next viable alternate is the equivalent of $6.00, why would you waste time and money subsidizing a wasteful alternate? The only thing the government should subsidise is research so that industry will know which alternate to use next, and how to plan its phase in.

Do you always not make sense?
