Woerns,
Eclipse is a good solution for several markets, beginning with automotive, etc. - I heard anything but wireless. So it seems I misunderstood something. I always thought eclipse would be a new approach for handsets. That would be the most interesting market as it represents the segment with biggest bit-growth.
It appears that the Eclipse ramp in wireless handsets is very slow. We will see how it plays out.
BTW, it is good to see that the segment of the market where Spansion is strong - mainstream to higher end - is doing well.
A couple of timing items: - First 45nm lot in fab currently, sampling later this year, revenue toward beginning of 2009 - First revenue from EcoRAM by end of 2008, beginning of 2009 - Broader acceptance of ORNAND outside of Japan in H2 (Eclipse or not? Unclear) - seeking broader (and faster) customer acceptance of 65nm ORNAND, in order to ramp SP1 faster - some high demand parts on allocation - not due to flash but some other part (unspecified , probably packaging or possibly other components going into MCP - my speculation)
Overall, slow but steady progress. Combined with positive guidance for 2H 2009, hopefully the all time lows are behind us.
