Both solar and wind are practical energy sources for cars. They charge the batteries well, but the batteries have no range. God are you stupid. The average American drives less than 50 miles a day. The current batteries get double that, and it's increasing every day. We are killing our economy with imported oil, we are a peak oil, we are about to hit an economic wall, and you are worried about 100 mile range vs. 200 mile range? Wake up... little convinces are not so important any more.
