You may have just emerged from a cave, but I think the oil companies are very much aware of where they might find oil and where it has run out....hence leases in hostile places. But I'm sure they will thank you for suggesting that they drill some more so we can be "energy independent".... When your checking accountant runs low, what do you do? Break into the kids piggy banks.....start looking for coins in the sofa? Reducing spending would not occur to you???
