Without fossil fuels, we have solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, and nuclear.

Unless you're a big believer in nuclear power, hydro and geothermal aren't going to be nearly enough to make up for what solar and wind can't generate.


I am not saying we can get off oil completely any time soon. And remember we use oil mostly for gas in cars.......you get enough cars going hybrid and oil consumption will drop. In today's oil inventory report, consumption has dropped 2% YoY just from people driving less. Imagine how much that figure would drop if everyone drove hybrid.
