I continue to believe that the mother of all area plays is the Entree Gold property surrounding the Ivanhoe/Rio Tinto Mongolian copper gold development, Oyu Tolgoi.

Entreee announced today the completion of the earn in for the JV with Ivanhoe for a small portion of the land package that Entree controls at Oyu Tolgoi. This provides Entree a total carried interest thru production for their share of the JV.

ie, no dilution from here, available financing via Ivanhoe-Rio Tinto.

What is even more intriguing is Friedlands comments from June 3:

"The deposit's current estimated metal content is ``a tiny fraction of what is actually there,' Friedland said. In March, Ivanhoe raised the estimated resource to 78.9 billion pounds of measured, indicated and inferred copper and 45.2 million ounces of gold."

A review of the maps of the region forces the conclusion that he is probably talking about additional mineralization on Entree property that is either contained in the JV, or on non-JV land that Ivanhoe has been drilling for Entree by agreement.

The entire parcel controlled by Entree is referred to as Lookout Hill. Again Oyu Tolgoi itself is totally contained within Entrees Lookout Hill holding and the open areas of the huge deposit that Friedland was referring to must be within the Entree lands, both JV and non-JV.

I think these guys have been playing their discoveries close to the chest as a result of the political situation in Mongolia, but Entree at $2 has to be a screaming buy here.
