"Odd - that's the democrat plan, spend our strategic reserves "

I consider ANWR part of our strategic reserves... Your logic is loopy...you want to drill and consume ANWR's know reserve, also drill on both coast lines with no proven reserves, but won't drill in the leased areas where rent is being paid??? For some reason, I don't think you get the big picture.

When the Democratic Party (not the democrat party) suggested temporarily stopping deposits into the Strategic Reserve and release them to the market, Bush said it was just a pittance (.3 % of world market he said)and would have no effect on gas prices. But on the other hand, a couple of weeks before, he said that if ANWR was drilled when he wanted to do it,,,we'd be getting 670,000 barrels/day, ie amounting to a 3% effect on the market... I know you've said that every drop counts so the SR daily deposit would be important to you, if not to Bush....
