Is Medicare an 'entitlement' ? No, medicare is paid for by the social security recipient out of the funds they paid for and worked for over the years.

Is medicare sufficient------no, the seniors still dip into their own funds to buy supplemental insurance.

They are paying twice for insurance. There's no need for this in my opinion. Get the government out of the health care business and put it where it belongs in the private sector.

The combined amounts that the seniors are paying for health insurance will easily pay for one private insurer thereby eliminating the beauracracy cost and the cost to the medical community-----private, hospitals et al involved in complying with government requirements in everything from billing to what treatment or medication may be used.

I am not optimistic that this will ever happen as beauracracies expand to fill any space available and continue their existence even when proved unworkable.
