Guys on both right and left do this all the time. The attacks on Cleland, Kerry and even McCain come to mind as well. What is galling is that Ted continue to pump the myth that Colin Powell was complicit in lying before the UN in making the case for the iraq war. CP might have argued for more caution within the bush admin or even for a bigger footprint in any war with iraq but did his job and supported the policy. I dont believe he knowingly misrepresented anything but Ted says he did so it must be so.
