Yes, when there are wars, there are lots of casualties. Yes, I did hear that the USA is the only place which has ever done anything about evil-doers and Private Ryan single-handedly defeated the original Hitler: < the only thing preventing Saddam from becoming another Hitler or Stalin was the U.S. military. The rest of the world didn't have the guts to stop this madman.>

But regarding that war you mentioned with Iran, I didn't realize that the USA had swooped into Iran and stopped Saddam in his tracks before he could get to Tehran. Go Team!! And the wars against Israel, I had thought involved only Israelis rather than the USA army.

Even in the latest conflict, I heard that Britain and other countries had been close enough to the action to get killed in various ways. They didn't all die from friendly fire by USA aircraft. It's true that the USA military did help, but Tony Blair was obviously a leading force in stopping Saddam. It might not be an exaggeration to say he was the only thing standing between Saddam and world domination.
