reI hate feeling jerked around so blatently James: You arent really jerked around though, Just dont sell your compaq. My biggest problem is my non compaq stocks, those I bought for short term holding and then didnt sell when they hit their target price. So I know I'm to blame for this current predicament ie.not able to buy compaq and 3com at fantastic prices. Its amazing: compaq comes out with absolutely blow out earnings, an announcement that they cannot buy back any more shares because of the accounting problem with acquiring Tandem, they will come out with dividends for the first time, and they are splitting 2 for 1 so that my 250 shares will be 500 and those of you with thousands will have multiple more thousands. Yet the price goes down along with the rest of the market. Does that not tell you how frantic and stupid "the market" is? Dont be part of it and dont worry. This is a great company and will continue its share price rise when this storm goes on its way. Best wishes. Freeus
