Pointing out that not subsidizing something is not the same as obstructing it, isn't opposing subsidies.

Opposing subsidies isn't "ensuring that the US is forever dependent on oil from terrorist countries" or arguing that it should be.

Arguing that it should be, would not be opposing the idea of unbiased discussion, but would be part of that discussion.

So your whole post is a series of unsupported and unreasonable leaps, rather than a statement that is actually relevant to what he posted.
