A film that blocks light transmission on a window would delay the rate of heating of the interior of a car.

Bullshit. If you really think so, please do explain the physics. Did you ever study 2'nd order systems. Assuming you have a BSEE you must have, unless you obtained it in the very early 1900's. These two clueless posts are keepers. I'll remind you of this stupidity every time you chirp up with nonsense to me. There is no freaking way your claim that a film on the window will greatly lengthen the time to reach thermal equilibrium is true. To first order it will have zero effect. Keep claiming it does and I will keep shoving this one back in your face. You are ignorant of elementary systems behavior, and to stupid to know it.

And by the way your attempt to apply circuit theory does not describe the situation and what the film does as a circuit element.

LOL. Go study 2'nd order systems. You think this is somehow different? Give me an equation for the thermal time constant of this car where the tinted window affects the time constant. What a fool!
