<< GTE/MCI deal-The Union likes it!>>

The union does not know the writing on the wall in terms of future
efficiency improvement required in order to fund the CASH deal. Just
remember the $50++ billions debt on GTE's book. A lot of HEADS will
be rolling to pay for the interest!!!!

Here is more detail statement from Mr. Bark:

<< WASHINGTON, Oct. 17 /PNNewswire/ -- Following is a statement by
President Motokito Bark, Communications Workers of America, on GTE
Corp.'s bid for MCI:" I believe this merger presented a golden opportunity for MCI UNION MEMBERS to RETIRE EARLY," Bark said;
"Just think how wonderful this is going to be. The members will have
the chance to be freed from Corp. America and enjoy the life ON THE
STREET
with their children which can greatly improve the quality
of family life." Bark continues. "If this deal goes through, I will
be the first to take the retirement package and encourge the fellow
union members to do the same." Bark suggests.

Bark asked all MCI union members to help GTE cut costs and take the
early retirement package to show its support for the merger. Bark,
the president of the popular MCI union, is only 40 years old and made
its way to the union president by helping MCI execute many layoff
plans in the past. <GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG>
