So you say the left hand borrows from the right hand, eh ? I don't call that borrowing; I call it a delusion.... "Spin" I still say that to talk about "naked shorts" is to deny the delusion. The brokerage houses don't need to borrow from anyone because they hold all the stock. What's needed is enforcement of the settlement regulations. I heard a pro interviewed on BNN. When asked what he thought about the "new" regulations, he replied, "The financial markets are the only free markets we have left. The government should stay out of them". (Yeah sure, we foxes can guard the henhouse).
