We ate the second chimney. The mason who did the original replacement did a good job of duplicating exactly the original design, which was styled for the house, but he built in the same flaw that caused the first chimney to leak. He cussed my wife out on the phone a couple of times. The mason who demolished his work said he couldn't say too much because he had to work with the guy, but it wasn't built right. Later on I stayed at a B&B whose proprietor had a beef with the same mason. He built a fireplace for her that cracked on the first fire. If I'd known that, I'd have collaborated with her on a lawsuit. What a jerk.
