Walmart sells more weapons than any retailer in the country, I heard

Walmart sells rifles and shotguns - which are used the least of any firearm in crimes of all types. Again all buyers must pass NICS and Walmart has even voluntarily started to video recording all buyers. Although the purpose is suspect as these systems never produce the intended results in solving crimes.

The NRA did not grudginly do this - they lead and teamed up with lawmakers (both D & R) to make the law consistent.
