I would add a few points to this...

I find it better to start at the outside time frames and work inward. I put more faith in, say, a weekly read, than I do in the daily read. I use the shorter time frames to see if they reinforce the read in the wider time frame.

As regards alternation, the most important aspect is that the corrections of waves 2 and 4 should be of a different shape. Of the three differences one can discern between these "brother corrections" -- shape, duration, size -- it is shape that is the most important. As well, it is most often the case that a wave 2 is sharper and of shorter duration than a wave 4.
