After re-reading that post from May, I realized that the Republican party does have some pretty good young people coming up after all.* Including Sarah Palin, about whom I was pretty enthusiastic a few weeks ago. And still am in a way. Except I'm beginning to think she may not want to shoot that high this soon, especially with an infant to care for. Maybe in a few years.

Meantime, Kasich would certainly help in Ohio if he's the one. Pennsylvania would be a huge catch and does seem to be in play much more this year than recently. Obama doesn't seem to play well there, in spite of Rendell.

I'm cautiously a little more optimistic than a month ago.

*[If only they would stay loyal to the right principles after some time in office or the public view.]
