Hi, Maurice, glad you're doing well and especially glad your son is doing well. Do y'all have any room in NZ? If Mr. Obama becomes our next President, I may be looking for a new home.

Regarding PPHM, we may have a surprise in store. Duke researchers have been using PPHM Mabs to treat HIV in mice and monkeys, with apparently great preliminary results. A Duke paper (or papers) is due out any time which could be extraordinary. Or at least we PPHM holders hope so. (Some things never change)

I agree with your comments about the FDA, but they are in an untenable position. If they approve a drug like Merck's Vioxx, they're in trouble. If they don't approve a drug like Rituxan, they're in trouble. Nevertheless, for the dying without any options, I think they should do as you suggest. I also think that if they approve a drug, then a drug manufacturer (e.g., Merck) should not be able to be sued if the drug causes problems down the line.

I enjoy your comments on the Politics for Pros thread. Keep up the good work!

Bob
