Morning DT:
Seems it has been 3 years now where every time things start to look up, we get whacked again. Financial mess, credit crises, retail swoon, credit card defaults all remain on the horizon and I assume will continue to make investors risk adverse.
The fact remains that the majors need to replace reserves and they are not finding enough on their, nor are the juniors finding enough massive deposits to replace their production. So I remain convinced that big deposits are the number one target, followed by mid size that could greatly increase a mid tiers position.
GRI.v , not sure about the paper. From today's news:
"the program to date includes detailed mapping, systematic hand-trenching and bedrock sampling. Results from a third shipment of samples are expected shortly."
I am not fully up to speed right now but I don't recall what geophysics they are doing, Ip proven valuable at Penasquito and Canplats and I would think they might do some extensive mechanical trenching. Considering the amount of historical mining they talk about the samples to date are lower grade than I would have thought. Not lower grade for the concept of another Canplats but for historic garimpero workings.
CPQ, I have to believe is undervalued here so am holding all knowing that this market may not give it the value it deserves for a while but eventually the share price will reflect the asset.
Thanks for the kind thoughts on my HAT and PDP. Hat has the ingredients to be a real winner but I am cautious and PDP I think is suffering from the ABCP tie up of 38 mil and has been knowked back because of shortfalls in Argentina which are now being addressed. Columbia and Peru are very high impact prospects, but only the drill will tell.
Cheers, Ogi
