hahahaha I know what you mean. FIL explained that most guys that build fireplaces don't have a clue how to do it. And I sure know there are lots of useless ones out there. Nice decoration, but why bother. We have so many power outages, we finally bought a generator. I'd been bugging hubby for yrs to do that. Good thing for him.............. That Fall we had a wind storm that caused such damage we were out of power for five days. But we stayed nice and warm and had a refrigerator and even watched movies on the tv.
