There may be a proposal afoot among Republicans to name Senator Larry Craig of Idaho McCain's running mate. The theory being that if, as expected in November, after eight years of Bush incompetence the party's chances go into the toilet; Senator Craig is, among his party, the most well acquainted with the territory. * That's the kind of leaden joke the boor at the office tells vacant-eyed secretaries waiting for a pause so they can laugh in the hopes it will just make him go away. But this is Robert Klein! Look at the punctuation and sentence structure. All perfect. He actually put some work into this and posted it for the world to see. Unbelievable.
