Neocons are acting as if sunk costs matter, when they don't.

"Acting as if sunk costs matter" in this calculation is comming more from those who oppose the war. "We've spent $700bil, "we've lost X lives" etc.

We should be looking at future benefits

And future costs.

Building on our major progress in Iraq, has the possibility of benefit, abandoning it is risky.
