Trivia Question on SEMI BTB: FWIW, in what year did the SEMI BTB hit its highest reading ever for the month of September since SEMI started tracking the ratio?

Answer: September, 1997. (1991, .91; 1992, .98; 1993, 1.02; 1994,1.03; 1995, 1.02; 1996, .70; 1997, 1.07).

Now I did not read or hear that headline anywhere! Guess it did not fit into the sell script everyone was pursuing in the media. Then again, maybe the media would say that ratio was viewed as topping out for the cycle and this was the reason for the sell-off <g>.
