A little story from the 70s. Curlee Clothes was based in St. Louis and carried an in stock program of Sharkskin suits in 4 colors. They had 1000's of these suits on hand priced at $60 to retail for $120. Double knits came along and they were stuck with the suits. Now double knits were cold in the winter and tended to snag, not good for Montana. A guy in Montana offered $15 per suit for the whole lot and bought them. Sold every daym one of them for $200 each.
