With the Nokia/Qcom settlement, I have been trying to think if this in any way would benefit or have a benefit for RMTR.
From what I have seen in the last few days and a few weeks, they effect will be upon TI. There have been comments recently that TI would make a concerted effort to be less dependent upon wireless. If we find out tomorrow that Nokia will use Qcom chipsets, then being less dependent upon cellular will be a forced issue with TI. Hopefully TI will see the vision to do something with FRAM. Obviously with the mountain of news releases concerning FRAM the last six months, I am more in thinking that the plans for RMTR that may be in the offing would be accelerated. There is so much stuff out lately that the adage of the more you throw on the wall the more sticks, could be proverb for us. Anyway the little group of Techs that bonded together to fight QCOM are now left out on a limb with Nokia ending all legal fights with the Q. If I were a shareholder of BRCM shares, I would dump them tomorrow the moment the bell rings. As far as TI who used to be the main supplier to Nokia there are clouds on the horizon.
And as far as 3G. Qcom now owns it as well as a large part of the next number 4G.
