In addition, since the markets closed I feel I can now relate a 10-year old Crash story.
That day, my wife and I were doing somethig in downtown NY and decided to try this, what we were told, is the BEST steak place in NY(Brooklyn), as well, it's frequented by Wall Street biggies....Peter Lugers.
We got to Peter Lugers expecting a loong wait, to our surprise NOONE was there except the waiters. We we seated immediately, They were happy to see any customers (even us). We ate a great meal in such a serenely quiet place, the steak, famous tomatoes and onions salad, and hash browns was all fabulous.
My wife and I thought that this place must have just been put on a health-watch list...throughout our 2 hours (12-2) we were the ONLY customers there.
Upon leaving I turned on the car radio and immediately heard that the market was down 300+ points and everyone was in panic mode.
Just a story that seems appropriate today.
