according to the oscillation the buys and sells equaled each other today (same weight assigned to each), yet the stock closed lower. this oscillation is on MACD which assigns weight to buys and sells.
in other words, there was as much buying as selling, yet the stock was given a downward equation most likely due to the market in general. a well placed sell works better than a well placed buy any day. you can buy 10,000 shares at $28 and the stock moves little. but if you sell 10,000 into a rally or perceived rally top, the price is adversely affected. there are many variables at work, of course.
you can request that the NASDQ look into the trading patterns. the fact that you're requesting, makes certain parties nervous. you can request this over the internet and ask for a reply back.
i've complained in the past about certain issues and have seen an abating of certain practices, at least for a while.
we all know the opposite can work too, in your favor, driving a stock price up on little volume if perceived news is good. |
