"Nothing ever happened because they didn't believe him or had no interest in taking any action - or both." Could be. I don't think they believed him. If for no other reason, it would have made great propaganda. Certainly there would have been those who didn't care. Jews weren't held in high esteem in many countries. "Blaming the Germans of ignorance of this subject these days while ignoring the fact that the Allies knew and did nothing, really is far fetched IMO." Where did I blame the Germans? Even if they had known what was going on beyond any shadow of a doubt, what could they have done? The Nazis weren't exactly the most tolerant of people.
