Nevada was talking about 1982 or so to the present. In the 80's/90's, gold and silver production sky rocketed when they started heap leaching.

Pegasus in 87 was profitably heap leaching .01 oz of gold per ton at Zortman Landusky. didn't even crush it. Now the oxide ore is about used up, so we are getting a slow down in all gold mining relative to price.
