Geeesh, if they wouldn't accumulate now they could be getting it at a lower price. So I don't think it's them, unless they really know something is about to pop. You've got to figure them to be just as greedy as anyone else. And hey they are the ultimate inside trader.

Holding the stock price up with buybacks is like trying to keep back the tide. After all, vol today was 626K (which means more like 300K actual shares changing hands), so if that was all them, then they will be out of powder on Monday or Tuesday. (Assuming that they are acting on the 700K unpurchased authorization as reported earlier.)

So my hope is that it is them, because they know something. If it's not them at all, then it's some one with those long range night vision goggle thingies on, seeing something that the rest of us myopic holders don't see yet.

The volume was a little brisk today, but not killer, especially after the open. It could be that MLIN just looked good, considering all of the other debris that was floating downstream today. So Wall Street just hasn't gotten around to taking them out and shooting them for their performance.
