Yep, energy and steel costs are rising faster than gold and silver. Got to find miners that have some way around this - like Gold Reserve with their subsidized Venezuelan diesel. Or Nautilus with their sea floor mining model.

Nautilus is my great white hope: high grade, low to zero strip ratio, reusable infrastructure, all transportation is by ship or barge. But best of all, if the natives change your tax rate, you can just sail your mining equipment away to another jurisdiction. Also, you're offshore, so disturbance and relocation of natives is not required.
