Well Jay...It looks like you've blown the doors off of the nay-sayers again! And rightfully so. Respectfully though, I think it might behoove... to ease up a bit on the financial retoric and the acronyms.

Let me say again, I am always impressed with your style and look forward to your postings.

For those that do not know what GPM and SG&A are..."Gross Profit Margin" and "Selling/General and Administrative Expenses", respectively, are factored into the companies present earnings report and more importantly...the estimated earnings per share(EPS)for and/in consecutive quarters.

There are probably many shareholders of Lucent(LU)and Natural MicroSystems(NMSS)...and others, that would love the opportunity to debate the issue of "WINS" category by yours/our/my own admission. A recognition of an almost overwhelming potential in volume of connectivity to business and to the end user via fax, CTI, IP, Telephony and Internet Telephony servers, switches, routers, stackable hubs...all over this globe. What would be the communications medium of choice? Asynchronous Tranfer Mode(ATM)in networking the Intranet at business or is it Integrated Services Digital Network(ISDN)at the end user level for Internet use?

Maybe I should just talk of High Digital Subscriber Line(HDSL)or even Asymmetrical Digital Subscriber Line(ADSL)...the adaptable fiber optic answer to higher bandwidth without switching out the copper infrastructure thoughout the copper in cable...ALL OVER THIS WORLD. It would take years to switch over to an all-fiber optic cabling system. I believe ASDL to be a pipe dream as the satellites would be doing the "Telco Shuffle" <G>, with federal government approval, of course before the Competitive Local Exchange Carrier(CLEC)or Regional Bell Operating Companie(RBOC) had the horses out of the gate, as it were.

My point? Please bare with me! Where does all of this CTI technology fit into the Telcom to Datacom transformation? All we really know is this...The Industrial age is setting, like the sun, to a dawning of the Digital Age of man. I think that if one could slice the Digital Age into eight equal pieces of a pie...Right now, October 1997 would be just part of the first piece. Only my little opinion here.

As far as DLGC, the issue and Dialogic, the company?... They by all appearance, look to have their equals in market cap, that is, right where they want them. Dialogic sure has my attention. I am long on this company as I too have done my homework and found them to be of sound management and to contain all of the necessary ingredients that may lead them to success in a tough, competive market. My three sons...now 7, 8, and 9 will someday be instrumental in shaping the Digital Age by virtue of a pact I have with my wife with regard to how we raise them and hopefully first by their own choices. I really do believe I will someday pass securities of DLGC stock to them that will have proved Dialogic was really the Microsoft of CTI afterall.

Best wishes to all.
