Craig, I never was able to get the trade on in a satisfactory way. It isn't as easy as buying Exxon and shorting Texaco back in days when The Bass Brothers were making a fake-out takeover of Texaco.

But my most disappointing trade of the past 6 years has been buying puts on Freddie and Fannie. Yes, I finally made a lot of money on some puts, so I won the recent battle. But I had lost so many premiums before that that I was lucky if I broke even on the war. Being right too early has very similar results to being wrong. <G>
