Tim ,the theory is fine...its people in who mess things up.

capitalists also tends to overlook the need for social stability which can be foolishly taken for granted until too late .

say what you will about the dangers of socialism,but what is the point of free markets when the poor are out of work and there is the real risk of social upheaval.

no system works all the time...gov must be flexible enough to respond to the threat of gross inequality that occationally hits capitalist societies.
