This title is misleading. What McCain said was that Obama's 16 month plan is wrong, but Maliki's 16 month plan is pretty good. Because, you know, one is 16 months and the other is 16 months...

One has to consider the context.

Obama wanted to withdraw the troops in 16 months STARTING 18 MONTHS AGO. This would have been a surrender.

Because we pursued the policy McCain supported of the troop surge, and for NO OTHER REASON, a withdrawal within a two-year time frame is now possible.

Why are you having a hard time with this simple concept? Had we done what Obama wanted, we would have lost the war in Iraq and AQ and Iran would now be in control of Iraq.

Only because we pursued McCain's policy have we now won the war and only for that reason is the option of a near-term withdrawal even practical.

Talk about revisionism! You guys are two-faced. You're not a stupid person, you know that what I've said is exactly correct, yet, you continue to act as though Obama's plan for surrender was a good one. You know better.
