How has the US been so successful in keeping its population in the belief the country is not elected oligarchies?

As per Joseph Schumpeter (TJ another Austrian): political parties are firms that compete with each other.

As the US became solid oligarchic, as predicted by the Iron Law of Oligarchy, -the Finance oligarchy elbowed aside the industry oligarchy- the strengths that created the country were exhausted. Industry gone, so went ebbed away the Blue Collars that turned middle class.

As Blue collars turned middle class, vanished, in the last 40 years we witnessed the country creating a new generation that is not as educated as the previous one.

As a result, the retiring baby-boomer does not leave behind a less educated new generation with the task to face the rest of the world. This accelerates the return to natural in the next two decades. It is a waterfall effect, Goes level, reaches waterfall and falls straight down. In the past 8 years US may have reached the water fall.
