"This is bullshit and you know it. You are literally making shit up."

I am making nothing up.

"Petraeus does NOT credit it. "

Sure he did.

The signs of this restoration illustrate the successes throughout Anbar Province that Gen. David Petraeus testified about before Congress on Monday.

"The change in the security situation in Anbar Province has, of course, been particularly dramatic.... A year ago the province was assessed as 'lost' politically. Today, it is a model of what happens when local leaders and citizens decide to oppose Al Qaeda and reject its Taliban-like ideology," he told lawmakers.

I know that reality is not your strong point. But, you should try it some time.

"Everyone knows that the surge enabled the Anbar Awakening -- this is not even the subject of debate that I know of."

Now who is making stuff up? The sheiks in Anbar started working with the troops in 2006. They have been offering since 2003, but we kept turning them down.

"Obama would not have gone to war -- that's true."

Right.

"But the war was needed and well-supported at the time (you don't get to go back and re-make decisions 7 years later). "

Because, as we know now, Bush was very selective in the information he gave Congress. That is beyond question, and has been for years.

"At the time Obama decided not to support the war, it was a stupid decision, and one only an extremist liberal or gross incompetent would have made. "

He probably didn't because he didn't trust Bush. As it has turned out, that was the right thing to do.

"It is a fact that the United States is a safer place today due in part to the war in Iraq."

Repeating lies does not make them true. Something you have yet to learn.
