TJ, The price of platinum is tanking hard, but in recent years it's found support at the 65-week moving average so maybe it will catch a bid soon... stockcharts.com Platinum demand is falling for USA-marketed vehicles, but I had assumed that the slack would be taken up by the BRIC countries. Then I saw a news report about Beijing suppressing auto traffic to reduce pollution during the Olympics. It dawned on me... China doesn't require catalytic converters! So I think you should get on the phone to Hu Jintao and ask him to phase in catalytic converters and vehicle emission checks. After you load up on cheaper platinum, of course.
