Roubini said this week none of the major broker/dealers would be around in their present form in 2-years. His comment was, "They're all Toast" and their business model is broken.

Check the option strikes on the brokers. Some very interesting developments I noticed this week:

The back-test of the broken monthly 1998 rising support on the BKX was a great sell trigger this week.

With WM about ready to take down the FDIC, it's going to be hard to really trade clean with all the government interference. COX's testimony this week indicates he wants the new short selling restrictions extended to all stocks as well as the up-tick rule reinstated.

Of course, brokers/dealers are market makers, so they're not subject to the short selling rules.

What a bunch of criminals.
