Don, they are fleeing to Australia, Japan, China, USA, Canada, UK. That's a few I can think of off-hand.
Not many are going to Zimbabwe, Baghdad, Russia etc, but some are likely to go back to Afghanistan bearing alms. Some have gone to Israel despite Islamic Jihad.
Bangalore and Beijing appeal, at least in the southern winter months.
Of 5 million NZers, 1 million have fled. A similar ratio in the USA would mean 60 million Americans have escaped to NZ, Canada, Mexico, France etc. To be sure there are quite a swarm of Americans spread around the world. I doubt they number 60 million.
